Keep Me
I had a boy I loved,
When I was small.
He helped us through the tough times,
But that wasn't all.
He was quiet and refined,
And a brave fighter too.
But he loved someone else,
And wouldn't say who.
I asked him about it,
A long time ago.
I asked if it was Trowa,
And he said "Yeah. So?"
I was left all alone,
With my tears for a friend.
I had no-one to love,
I knew it had to end.
I went out to the hangar,
To end my sad life.
I had every right to do it,
I even had the knife.
Just as I was about,
To plunge it right in.
Someone stopped me,
He was holding my chin.
I looked up and saw him,
With a tear in his eye.
And for the life of me,
I've never seen him cry.
I collapsed against his chest,
Heaving and a mess.
He wrapped his arms around me,
And whispered to me "Yes."
I looked at him,
And held my breath.
He had kept me,
From my death.
Now I thank Heaven above,
For keeping me from that dive.
I thank them again for sending me,
My pilot zero five.
I know he still misses,
His love from long ago.
But I never intend,
To ever let him go.
Things like love,
Are precious,
I see
. And you,
my dear dragon,
Are precious to me.
What'd ya think? If you read the first one, you'll know who loved Nanashi's smile! Please tell me what you think. I might even do more. You now have to tell me who loves the man in this poem. Come on, I know you can do it. It isn't brain surgery...
A love poem by shinigamiduo. I hope you like it. I don't own Gundam Wing or the name Nanashi. Please R&R if you would be so kind. I'm pretty sure you know who this poem is about, but just try and guess who the speaker is.
If you win, I will draw you a picture with the two of them together. I'm not a bad artist just so you know. Thanks!
Nanashi's Smile
I knew a boy when I was young,
He didn't have a name.
He kept to himself the best he could,
And even ran away.
I found him later on that night,
Underneath a big oak tree.
He sat back against it with a sigh,
And smiled up at me.
I sat right down beside him,
And talked for a while.
I still couldn't believe,
I saw Nanashi smile.
He lived with me for many years,
And loved me all the while.
I still think I'm the only one,
Who saw Nanashi smile.
Times were great and times were tough,
But commitment wasn't his style.
And when I finally left him,
No longer would he smile.
I saw him once the other day,
I watched him for a mile.
Even when I confronted him,
Nanashi wouldn't smile.
He said I could do nothing,
He said that I was vile.
He slapped me in the face,
But walked away with a smile.
He had gotten his revenge,
For my putting him on trial.
He came back to me that night,
And I saw Nanashi smile.
There is something that I keep,
With his belongings in a file.
A picture of my lover,
And his beautiful Nanashi smile.
Even though he's been gone,
For such a long while.
I will always remember what he gave to me,
A bright Nanashi smile.
